Starting on 11/18, the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) began a second round of outreach to eligible families. The student’s primary guardian will receive a call, text message, or email from DC Government asking if they’d like to join the program and for consent to share their contact information with the internet provider that will be providing their service, either Comcast or RCN. Comcast or RCN will then contact the household to initiate the internet installation process. Information for schools on this program can be found in a guide with FAQs here
